Mail order brides has become synonymous with Russian brides, Asian brides, or just foreign brides.

When speaking about cross culture marriages, there is an interesting trend: a relationship between a man from the USA and a woman from Australia is an "international relationship", yet a relationship between the same man and a Russian bride, Asia or Latin America woman is a "mail order brides" thing.

In doing my due diligence and searching for the best services available I was also forced to search for the terms "mail order brides" and "Russian brides", "Asian brides" etc.. While this may not be the preferred terminology it is nevertheless commonly used.

Quite a few of the internet dating agencies still provide the "traditional" type of service where one purchases the addresses of Russian women, Asian women and Latin women, etc. Other online dating services however have amassed a huge international database of women and men so that one now can join one or more of these agencies and contact as many women and men as one wants from many different countries for a single membership fee.

In my searching I have come across information which I feel should be addressed here.
